Regularly, for eight months Solomons was dragged on through overgrowth in various woodlands. The culmination of this project occured when she was dragged, continually for one month, through parts of the historic Wilderness battlefield (Battle of the Wilderness, 1864), from the American Civil War. Solomons refers to the wartime photographs by Alexander Gardner. This work compares and contrasts the use of live and dead human bodies to construct memories about communal violent trauma. Because of this reason, a part of her method was to be dragged with and without clothes.
