I, am the monster
2018-2020
Around 2018, Solomons began experimenting with juxtaposing the vomiting and joint sounds with other parts of their practical research. Their coughing and gagging from trying to retrieve their stomach acid shared audio similarities of the ball and socket joints of animals being broken.
Solomons' goal is to construct a sound like vomiting that links present behaviour that can be used to cope with unbearable emotions to the embodiment of self-violence that exists in shame, through a metaphor such as the visceral sound of the joints breaking.
