I never had anyone fight for me
2015-2017
This work critically assesses violence as an embodied legacy of trauma. Each glass plate was hand-processed through the photographic collodion process with added mixtures of human bodily fluids. The images on the glass plates are taken from practical research where Solomons was dragged through dense undergrowth in forests.
Over time, as a result of the unstable process, the chemicals on each plate crystalize, grow, and further destroy the visibility of the images. Each plate is unique.
