The Things You've Heard In Your Head, They'll Stay
Here Forever
2010
Each series of photographs utilizes empty and abstract parts of houses to generate a particular narrative about identity. The portraits of an adult squeezed into the clothes of a child seem to have the face hidden. However, the illusion of hiding is actually two separate parts perfectly aligned. The exposed images sits next to an exposure of pure light. Specifically, this work emphasizes how a lack of experiences and emptiness can lead to a partially formed, unbalanced identity.
